Sharing secret quantum states: theory and experiment

Threshold quantum secret sharing enables a quantum state to be transmitted to multiple players who cannot be trusted, whereas certain groups of players can be trusted. Quantum secrets may need to be shared for distributed quantum computing protocols, for quantum communication where trust is an issue, and for distributing quantum money, for example. Threshold quantum secret sharing will be explained, continuous variable threshold quantum secret sharing will be discussed, and results of a recent successful threshold quantum secret sharing experiment implemented in a continuous variable system will be presented.
