Some linear and multilinear algebra aspects of quantum information theory - Shmuel Friedland

Some problems in Quantum Information Theory can be stated simply in terms of completely positive, trace preserving linear operators on the spaces of Hermitian matrices. In this talk we show how basic tools of linear and multilinear algebra can give estimates on the minimum entropy of quantum channels. Some of the results discussed in this talk can be found on http://arxiv.org/abs/0809.0078
