Distinguishability of states using LOCC

Distinguishability of quantum states is important from both a theoretical and practical perspective. It leads to information extraction from quantum systems. In this talk, a description of states distiguishability in different settings is given. Local distinguishability of quantum states possessed by one and many parties will be presented. The concept of Local Operations with Classical Communication (LOCC) will be introduced for multi-partite systems. Practical applications of LOCC will be considered. It will also be shown that data can be hidden in multi-party systems, this is each party doesn’t have access to all of the information available throughout the whole system for certain shared states. Finally, distinguishability of unextendible product basis will be discussed.
